Amazon.com Product Description With a heavy-duty 16-gauge finish nailer, an 18-gauge brad nailer, an oil-free compressor, and all the fittings you need to get set-up, this kit from DeWalt makes it easy tackle a wide range of finish carpentry and woodworking tasks, from crafting custom furniture to securing molding in place. The 18-gauge nailer can handle up to 100 straight collated nails that are 1/2-inch to 1-1/4 inches long at a time, while the 16-gauge nailer can handle up to 160 straight collated nails that are 1-1/4 to 2-1/2 inches long at a time. Each of these nailers also offers tool-free jam clearing, so a bent or damaged fastener never brings work to a standstill for long, convenient 360-degree exhaust, a unique vertical slide that allows you to select depth settings quickly and without any special tools, an over-molded no-mar pad that grips material for accurate toe nailing and protects your work surface, and a trigger lock for improved safety. Each well-balanced nailer also employs a reversible belt hook that provides convenience for both right- and left-handed users. Featuring a two-gallon tank and the ability to deliver 2.0 SCFM at 90 PSI and a maximum of 150 PSI, the compressor included in this kit is powerful enough to run both of these nailers at the same time, with dual quick couplers to make set up easy. And at just 79dBA, it is surprisingly quiet. You can count on its durability with details like an oil-free, long-life pump, which ensures smooth, maintenance-free operation that never results in oil spilled on sensitive work surfaces, a high-flow regulator, an easy-to-use ball valve drain, and a thoughtful roll-cage design that prevents damage to critical compressor parts. At just 30 pounds and 10.5 inches wide with a convenient cord-wrap feature, this compact unit is easy to move around the jobsite and to store.

Would not Recommend!!! July 26, 2010 CHC 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased the set six months ago and would not recommend the set to anyone! I have a home improvement company and always thought that Dewalt was one of the better tool manufacturers. The finish nailer has been nothing but problems from the beginning. Dewalt does give you a three year warranty but you have to take the tool to a service center for them to determine if it is a factory defect. My service center was an hour away in the hood! The customer service representative was rude and very unhelpful. I decided to try to fix the gun myself and found the problem very quickly! All of the parts on the inside of the gun are plastic. Need I go on? The gun is in the garbage where it belongs. I will never buy another Dewalt product! I recommend Bosch tools if you want a dependable one!
My opinion February 8, 2010 E. Tracey (SF, Ca) Solid piece of machine and everything works as advertised. Portable and compact. Good buy!
Awesome Set December 6, 2009 Todd L. Wilt I have used these tools many times by now. There was no problems with these. Great tools.
small, cute, flawed September 4, 2009 R. Skyberg 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
If you're thinking about buying the product, be sure to read through all the reviews, especially the negative ones. I purchased this unit on sale at a local big-box, with the two "free" nailers included. I used the nailers to install a bamboo wood floor. Over the course of the installation, I drove about 500 brad nails (kept count of the boxes), nothing too strenuous.
It worked fine for that, even if the hose from the compressor does get very hot while filling the tank, but I worry about how long this one's going to last. After just a few total days of use, some part of the valve system appears to be failing. Occasionally, it will run to build pressure, then stop "half way", and start venting itself. Not because of pressure release, but coming from somewhere inside the compressor unit. If I power cycle it, it will restart and continue to fill until it shuts off automatically.
Pros:
- small
- luggable
- nice wrap-around "rollcage" to protect unit
- nice paint job
Cons:
- seems to work "too hard"
- questionable reliability.
Bottomline:
- probably fine for light-duty work, as a kit; look elsewhere if you want something that's going to "last".
Was working fine until July 27, 2009 Rick A. Friesen 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
The brad nailers work fine but the air compressor has left me wanting. It constantly leaks from somewhere I can't find but can hear. It doesn't kick in enough to help me maintain a constant psi so that my nails Always drive to the depth I want. It'll sometimes drop 10 psi before kicking back on. It also makes this weird sound sometimes that sounds like a tool dying. I don't even use it that much.
