Product Description
Cordless power let the tool do the work for you. Versatility use on fabric, cardboard, paper, tarp, canvas, vinyl, window screening, and more. Ergonomic design scissor blade in line with material, soft comfort grip. Includes: 3.6V scissors, universa

Amazon.com Product Review
These scissors offer way more cutting power than just about anyone can muster with muscle alone, and best of all, it's effortless. You can't help but love a product that makes life so much easier, especially for folks who suffer from arthritis.

You can cut nearly anything with these, from delicate pattern paper to sheet vinyl flooring and window screening, with just the press of a button. Our favorite job for these, though, is to easily slice into that impossible-to-open, hard plastic packaging that seems to be on most everything these days. It's no match for these scissors.

When power scissors first came out, there wasn't too much concern about ergonomics, but we know so much more these days about how important that is. Black & Decker's made this power tool a treat for the body to use, with a nice cushy grip, super light weight and no force needed.

One charge will keep you cutting for 70 minutes, and then you just plug it in and charge it again. There's no end to what you can use these power scissors for - gift wrapping, sewing, scrapbooking, decorating, jobs around the house, crafts, clipping coupons. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

5 out of 5 stars Still Surprising   March 5, 2010
Dave - Free as Can Be (Franklin, TN)
I do not have much to add to the other reviews, but I have had these scissors for 2+ years and they still work fine. I have not even noticed any weakening of the battery. They are great at cutting most things a standard manual set of utility scissors will cut, but they will do it much faster with good control. No, you should not give yourself a haircut or cut your fingernails with these (and Rabbis, no circumcisions), but they will cut through the weak spots of plastic packaging and non-glued corners of corrugated boxes. Also, cutting through scotch tape or packing tape will tend to gum up the blades which are not fun to clean if they get covered in adhesives.

I must admit that my average frequency of use of these scissors is about 5-10 minutes per month, and they do not have a solid, high quality feel to them. I am still going to buy a second set knowing that they must give out sooner or later with no future assurances that Black & Decker will not decide to discontinue them, without warning, because of slow sales and/or weak margins. The short of it is that they are so handy, I would rather not be without them.

5 out of 5 stars Great for cutting thick fabric   March 4, 2010
Patricia A. Redler (Missoula, MT USA)
I originally bought these for cutting cardboard as I am having a hard time finding what will cut cardboard. They don't work well for cardboard, but decided to try them when I was cutting out double layers of fleece fabric. It cut through them like butter, thereby saving my hand joints a lot of pain. By the way, if you are trying to make cardboard doll houses or furniture, a scroll saw works great.

1 out of 5 stars As powerful as a cold knife through frozen butter   February 27, 2010
John Garwood (Indiana)
These were a complete disappointment. I would recommend that you look elsewhere, these sissors are the answer to nothing!

4 out of 5 stars hard working   February 26, 2010
Frank Johnson (CA)
I use one of these every day to cut fabric. the knifes get dull after a few months but if you don't use them everyday it should stay sharp for years.. Frank

4 out of 5 stars Excellant product for the price   February 20, 2010
Linda (United States)
I own a small cut & sew operation and these scissors work very well for cutting one garment at a time.
