I purchased a pair from home depot last year after pruning season and they sat in my garage for the winter in a dry location,spring time comes along and I take out my never used pair of what are supposed to be quality shears and they broke after one use...junk...now I could fix them by using epoxy to resecure the handle to the blades but I got lucky and my grandfather gave me his 40 or 50 year old pair of shears with solid wood handles,sharp blades and made in germany.He gave them to me because he no longer uses them not because they are garbage like my generation gets force fed.I will pass them to my grandchildren one day unlike everyone including myself who bought the fiskars which will all be passed to a landfill sooner than later.

I could not be more pleased. Outstanding quality shears at a great price! These cut everything I have worked with, quick and easy; these are sharp and comfortable use! It is obvious the quality is high and I do believe these will work for many years here. Highly recommend them.

Looking at other raving reviews, I tried this shears - Twice. The first I received had the last couple of inches not closing - so will not cut properly. I thought it might be an odd one out - so I returned and asked for a replacement. When I got the replacement, it had the same problem. The last one inch or so of the shears will not close - I find it hard to believe that thats the standard design. What purpose could this possibily achieve. I lose the ability to nip small twigs as the tips do not close. And I also tend to lose a couple of inches of cutting power in a 10 inch long blade. Thats a major drawback to me. I have seen only one reviewer who had the same problem. I wonder if others faced the same issue but are okay with that or did I receive a defective product - Twice! I am waiting for my refund after returning the second shears - dont want to deal with it anymore.

I purchased this power-lever shears on line because I could not find them in my local area any more{I had purchased my first pair 5-10 years ago and the power at the cutting edge was the best I have used}They were showing signs of wear and I wanted to replace them while still use able, so the wife and I could each have a pair to use.
When they arrived I found the end two inches did not touch so did not cut. I notified the shipper by Phone/Email, they sent a free shipping Label and I took it to the local UPS Store who agreed to ship it back 2 weeks ago.
I'm still waiting for the replacement Shears!!!
