You can orient the dust ports and motor housing to either face up or down. The dust collector accepts standard one micron filtration bags that keep your shop clean, and the snap-in bag rings allow for fast and easy setup. The 6 millimeter plastic chip collection bags let you know when the bags need to be emptied. Unit is very sturdy and 3hp motor generates a lot of suction. Make sure you have the vertical space for this unit -- over 9ft tall with the included felt bags. Also, was surprised to discover you have to add a cord and plug -- the manual says that to meet code, this dust collector has to be permanently connected to a designated circuit. The cart has good casters -- knobby rubber wheels. The motor can be mounted either up or down. The inlets (four) are 4 inches in diameter -- would have been nicer with 6" considering the cfm capacity.
